Apple Crisp Cheesecake Jars

Ingredients

 Cheesecake Layer

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (or 1 cup whipped topping)

 Apple Filling

  • 3 medium apples (Honeycrisp, Gala, or Granny Smith), peeled and diced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)

 Crisp Crumble Topping

  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

1. Make the Apple Filling

  1. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  3. Cook for 5–8 minutes, until the apples soften.
  4. For a thicker filling, stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook for 1 additional minute.
  5. Set aside to cool completely.

2. Make the Crumble Topping

  1. Mix the oats, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  2. Pour in the melted butter and mix until crumbly.
  3. Spread the mixture on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes, until golden and crisp.
  5. Allow to cool.

3. Make the Cheesecake Layer

  1. Beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until light and fluffy.

4. Assemble the Jars

Layer in this order:

  1. Light layer of crumble
  2. Cheesecake filling
  3. More crumble (light layer)
  4. Apple filling
  5. A lighter layer of cheesecake
  6. Extra crumble on top
  7. Optional: Drizzle caramel sauce

Chill

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Serving Ideas

  • Add a caramel drizzle
  • Top with whipped cream
  • Decorate jars with ribbon for gifting
  • Serve lightly chilled or near room temperature

 Makes: 6–8 small jars (4–6 oz each)
