How to Make It
1. Prepare the Sauce:
Mix all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl until creamy and well combined. Set aside.
2. Shape & Season Patties:
Form the ground beef into two patties, slightly wider than the buns. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
3. Cook the Patties:
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 3–4 minutes per side (for medium-well, or adjust to your preference). In the final minute, place a slice of cheese on each patty and let it melt.
4. Toast the Buns:
While the patties cook, lightly toast the burger buns for extra flavor and texture.
5. Build the Burger:
Spread sauce on both the top and bottom of the bottom bun.
Place the first cheeseburger patty on top, followed by lettuce and a few onion slices.
Add the second bun as a divider, then layer the second cheeseburger patty, more lettuce, and onion slices.
Finish with the top bun (smeared with sauce on the inside).
6. Serve:
Insert a skewer through the middle to keep everything stacked neatly. Serve hot and enjoy!
