
MELT-IN-YOUR-MOUTH CHRISTMAS COOKIES
Delicately buttery, soft, and dusted with snowy powdered sugar — these Melt-in-Your-Mouth Christmas Cookies are the very definition of holiday magic. One bite and they practically dissolve on your tongue, spreading sweet cheer in every crumb!
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
Optional Additions:
½ cup finely chopped pecans, walnuts, or almonds for a nutty twist
½ teaspoon almond extract for extra flavor depth
Red and green sprinkles for a festive touch

Preheat Oven: Set to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream Butter & Sugar: In a large bowl, beat butter and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add Flavoring: Mix in vanilla extract (and almond extract if using).
Add Dry Ingredients: Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms. Stir in nuts if desired.
Shape Cookies: Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place them about 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges are just turning golden.
Cool & Dust: Let cookies cool slightly, then roll or dust generously with powdered sugar while still warm. Allow to cool completely before storing.
