PEACH/ MANGO MOONSHINE RECIPE
DISCLAIMER: Moonshine can be used as an ingredient in the recipe. This is not directions on how to make the moonshine itself. In this case, EVERCLEAR was used in place of moonshine.
When we last posted our APPLE PIE MOONSHINE RECIPE, we had got a lot of requests for our PEACH PIE MOONSHINE RECIPE. Well this time we decided to “tweak” the recipe a bit and add some mango to the mix. We like how it turned out and are sure to enjoy it with friends and family this summer.
INGREDIENTS: (makes 12 pints)
– 2, 64oz bottles of 100% peach/ mango juice
– 1 can of mango nectar
– 2 cups of brown sugar
– 6 cinnamon sticks
– 2 whole vanilla beans sliced open
– 1-2 15oz cans of peaches
– 1, 750 ml bottle of moonshine, EVERCLEAR, or high proof vodka depending on what your state laws allow
– 1, 750 ml bottle of peach schnapps
– 1 cup of vanilla vodka
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. In a large pan, combine the juice, nectar, sugar, cinnamon sticks, and vanilla beans.
2. Simmer over medium low heat for one hour.
3. Remove from heat and extract the cinnamon sticks. Let cool to room temperature.
4. When cool, mix in moonshine, peach schnapps and vanilla vodka. WARNING: Do not add the alcohol until the mixture has completely cooled to room temperature. Adding the alcohol when hot will lead to alcohol evaporation.
5. Pour into mason jars. Add peaches equally in each jar to your liking. We do 2-3 peaches per jar. (in our larger jars, peaches wouldn’t fit through the neck of the bottle so we put a vanilla bean into each bottle)
6. Let rest in cool dark place for 2 weeks before drinking.
We have had our moonshine recipes last for over 2 years and not go bad. Honestly, it usually gets used up fairly quickly by friends and family and we have never had to worry about it going bad.
