Ingredients (for 1 large mug cake):
4 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder
3 tbsp sugar
¼ tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
3 tbsp milk
2 tbsp vegetable oil (or melted butter)
1 tbsp chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)
1 tbsp chopped walnuts (optional)
1 tbsp Nutella or chocolate spread (for the lava center)

Instructions
1. Combine dry ingredients: In a large, microwave-safe mug, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
2. Add liquids: Pour in the milk and oil, stirring until smooth and lump-free.
3. Mix in extras: Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts (if using).
4. Make the lava center: Place 1 tbsp of Nutella or chocolate spread in the middle of the batter and press it down slightly.
5. Microwave: Heat for 1–1½ minutes, depending on your microwave. The surface should look set, while the center remains soft and gooey.
6. Finish it off: Top with extra chocolate chips, a sprinkle of walnuts, and a drizzle of caramel if you like.
