Sweet Wine Bundt Cake

Sweet Wine Bundt Cake

My husband LOVES this cake! It’s unbelievably easy to make and turns out perfectly soft, moist, and flavorful every single time. The secret lies in the combination of pudding mix, sour cream, and sweet white wine that gives this cake its rich texture and delightful taste. A buttery wine glaze drizzled on top makes it even more irresistible!

Ingredients

For the Cake:

1 box yellow cake mix

1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

¼ cup light brown sugar

¼ cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

5 large eggs (room temperature)

½ cup whole milk

½ cup vegetable oil

1 cup sour cream

½ cup sweet white wine (such as Riesling or Moscato)

For the Glaze:

¼ cup unsalted butter

¼ cup granulated sugar

¼ cup sweet white wine

Directions

1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a Bundt pan or spray it with nonstick baking spray.

2. Mix the Dry Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, pudding mix, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon.

3. Add the Wet Ingredients:
Add eggs, milk, oil, sour cream, and sweet wine to the dry mixture. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for about 2–3 minutes, or until smooth and creamy.

4. Bake the Cake:
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared Bundt pan. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

5. Prepare the Glaze:
While the cake is baking, make the glaze. In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add sugar and sweet wine, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens slightly (about 3–4 minutes). Remove from heat.

6. Glaze the Cake:
Once the cake is done, let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Poke small holes all over the surface with a skewer, then slowly pour the warm glaze over the cake. Let it soak in for a few minutes.

7. Serve and Enjoy:
Invert the cake onto a serving plate and let it cool completely before slicing. The flavor deepens as it rests, making it even better the next day!

Tip: This cake pairs beautifully with a cup of coffee or a glass of chilled sweet wine.
