Cowboy Baked Beans
These hearty Cowboy Baked Beans are bursting with smoky, savory flavor — the ultimate side dish for summer cookouts or family gatherings!
Ingredients
- 2 (28-ounce) cans baked beans
- ¼ cup diced bell pepper
- ¼ cup diced yellow onion
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- ¼ cup BBQ sauce
- ½ cup cooked and chopped bacon
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and no pink remains. Season with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Drain any excess fat.
- Combine ingredients: In a 9×13-inch casserole dish, add the baked beans, diced bell pepper, onion, mustard, BBQ sauce, chopped bacon, cooked ground beef, and brown sugar. Mix everything until evenly combined.
- Bake: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 30–45 minutes, until bubbly and heated through.
