Lemon Ginger Turmeric Fat-Burning Drink
Ingredients:
- 1 lemon, freshly squeezed
- 1 inch (2–3 cm) piece of fresh ginger root, peeled and grated
- ½ teaspoon ground turmeric (or 1-inch fresh turmeric root, grated)
- 2 cups (500 ml) water
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for taste)
- A pinch of black pepper (to boost turmeric absorption)
Instructions:
- Boil the Water
- In a small saucepan, bring the 2 cups of water to a gentle boil.
- Add Ginger and Turmeric
- Add the grated ginger and turmeric to the boiling water.
- Lower the heat and simmer for 5–10 minutes to allow the flavors and nutrients to infuse.
- Strain the Mixture
- Turn off the heat and let it cool slightly.
- Strain the liquid into a mug or glass to remove the solid bits.
- Add Lemon and Optional Ingredients
- Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- Add a pinch of black pepper to enhance the turmeric’s fat-burning effect.
- Sweeten with honey or maple syrup if desired.
- Serve
- Enjoy warm in the morning on an empty stomach for best results, or drink it before bedtime to support overnight detox and metabolism.
