Ingredients
- 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup (90g) powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons (15g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) milk (for adjusting consistency)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper. - Cream the Butter and Sugar
In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and powdered sugar together until the mixture becomes light, pale, and fluffy. - Add Flavor
Mix in the vanilla extract until well combined. - Form the Dough
Gradually add the flour, mixing until a smooth dough forms. - Create Two Colors
Divide the dough into two equal portions:- Leave one plain for vanilla dough.
- Add cocoa powder to the other for chocolate dough.
If either dough feels too stiff, mix in 1–2 teaspoons of milk until soft and easy to pipe.
- Pipe the Cookies
Place spoonfuls of both doughs side by side in a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle.
Pipe rosettes, swirls, or S-shapes onto the prepared tray — the two colors will blend beautifully to create a marble effect. - Bake
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges are just starting to turn golden but the cookies remain pale and tender. - Cool and Store
Let the cookies cool completely before transferring them to an airtight container.
Tips & Festive Touches
- Dust with powdered sugar or edible gold shimmer for a holiday sparkle.
- Dip one side in melted white or dark chocolate and add festive sprinkles for extra Christmas charm.
These Christmas Marble Butter Cookies are elegant, buttery, and perfect for gifting — or enjoying with a warm mug of cocoa by the fire.
