Protein Oat Energy Balls
These no-bake protein balls are nutritious, easy to make, and perfect for a quick snack, pre-workout boost, or healthy dessert. Packed with oats, protein powder, and natural sweetness, they’re ready in minutes!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup vanilla whey protein powder (about 2 scoops)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1/8 cup natural smooth peanut butter
(or any nut/seed butter you prefer) - 3 tablespoons raw honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Combine Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, add:
- Rolled oats
- Vanilla protein powder
- Cinnamon
- Chia seeds
Stir until well combined.
2. Add the Wet Ingredients
Add in:
- Peanut butter
- Raw honey
- Vanilla extract
Mix with a spoon or spatula until the mixture starts coming together.
If it feels too dry, add 1–2 teaspoons more peanut butter or honey.
If too sticky, add a small handful of oats.
3. Form the Balls
- Scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the mixture at a time.
- Roll into small balls using your hands.
- Place them on a plate or tray lined with parchment paper.
4. Chill
Refrigerate the protein balls for 20–30 minutes to help them firm up.
Storage
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
- Freeze for up to 3 months.
They taste great cold or at room temperature!
Optional Add-Ins
Customize them with:
- Mini chocolate chips
- Crushed nuts
- Flaxseed
- Dried fruit
- Cocoa powder
