Sausage & Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- ½ lb breakfast sausage
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
Heat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Cook the Sausage
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully done.
Drain any excess grease and let it cool slightly.
3. Make the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine:
- Cooked sausage
- Softened cream cheese
- Cheddar cheese (if using)
Stir until well blended.
4. Fill the Crescents
Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
Place about 1 tablespoon of the sausage mixture on the wide end of each triangle.
5. Roll Them Up
Roll each triangle from the wide end toward the tip, keeping the filling tucked inside.
Place the rolls on your prepared baking sheet.
6. Add Egg Wash
Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a shiny, golden crust.
7. Bake
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and crisp.
8. Serve
Enjoy them warm—perfect for breakfast, snacks, or parties.
