Christmas Sugar Cookie Loaf with Vanilla Sprinkle Glaze

Christmas Sugar Cookie Loaf with Vanilla Sprinkle Glaze

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • For the Glaze:
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 2 tbsp milk
    • Holiday sprinkles

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until the batter is smooth and just combined—avoid overmixing.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and gently tap it on the counter to remove air bubbles.
  7. Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Cool the loaf in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled (or slightly warm) loaf, then finish with festive holiday sprinkles.
