Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cake Balls

Ingredients:

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tub (16 oz) vanilla frosting
  • 2 cups green candy melts
  • Assorted sprinkles and edible decorations
  • Pretzel sticks (for tree trunks)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the yellow cake batter by mixing the cake mix with water, vegetable oil, and eggs according to the package directions.
  3. Pour the batter into a 9×13 inch baking pan and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  4. Once cooled, crumble the cake into a large bowl.
  5. Add the vanilla frosting and mix until the texture becomes thick and moldable.
  6. Shape the mixture into small cone-shaped balls to resemble mini Christmas trees.
  7. Arrange the shaped cake balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  8. Melt the green candy melts following the package instructions.
  9. Insert a pretzel stick into the base of each cake ball to act as the tree trunk.
  10. Dip each cake ball into the melted green candy coating, ensuring it’s fully covered.
  11. While the coating is still soft, decorate with sprinkles or edible decorations to look like ornaments.
  12. Place the coated cake balls back onto parchment paper and allow them to set until the candy coating hardens.
  13. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Tips:
