10-Minute Bread
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (or whole wheat for a healthier option)
- 1 tablespoon sugar (helps with browning)
- 1 teaspoon salt (for flavor)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder (essential for a quick rise)
- 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
- Optional add-ins: garlic powder, herbs, cheese, or seeds
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
Set the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet or a small loaf pan.
2. Combine Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
3. Add Milk & Form the Dough
Slowly pour in 1 cup of milk, stirring until a soft dough forms.
If the dough feels too sticky, add a little extra flour.
4. Knead & Shape
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead gently for 3–4 minutes until smooth.
Shape it into a round loaf or place it into a small loaf pan.
5. Bake
Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the top turns golden and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
6. Cool & Serve
Allow it to cool slightly before slicing.
Enjoy warm with butter, jam, or alongside your favorite soup.
