Christmas Salad

This colorful salad is called Christmas Salad because it bursts with vibrant, festive colors—perfect for brightening any holiday table!

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1 head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)

For the Dressing (optional but recommended):

  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Vegetables
    Rinse the broccoli and cauliflower, then cut them into bite-sized florets. Place them in a large salad bowl.
  2. Add the Remaining Ingredients
    Add the sliced red onion and halved cherry tomatoes. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top if using.
  3. Make the Dressing
    In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice (or vinegar), honey, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Toss the Salad
    Pour the dressing over the vegetables and toss gently until everything is evenly coated.

 

 

 

  1. Serve
    Enjoy immediately for a crisp texture, or refrigerate for 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
