White German Chocolate Cake with a Cheesecake Center

White German Chocolate Cake with a Cheesecake Center

A beautifully soft white cake wrapped around a rich, creamy cheesecake layer—simple to make, stunning to serve!

Ingredients:

For the Cake:

  • 1 package white cake mix
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large egg whites

For the Cheesecake Layer:

  • 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the Cake Batter
In a large bowl, combine the white cake mix, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and egg whites. Mix until smooth and well combined. Pour about half of the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  3. Make the Cheesecake Filling
In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until creamy and lump-free.
  4. Layer the Cake
Spoon the cheesecake mixture evenly over the first layer of cake batter. Carefully pour the remaining cake batter over the cheesecake layer, spreading gently to cover.
  5. Bake
Bake for 40–50 minutes, or until the top is lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into the cake layer comes out clean (avoid testing the cheesecake center).

  1. Cool and Serve
Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing so the cheesecake layer can set properly.
