White German Chocolate Cake with a Cheesecake Center

White German Chocolate Cake with a Cheesecake Center
A beautifully soft white cake wrapped around a rich, creamy cheesecake layer—simple to make, stunning to serve!
Ingredients:
For the Cake:
- 1 package white cake mix
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 large egg whites
For the Cheesecake Layer:
- 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Prepare the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper. - Mix the Cake Batter
In a large bowl, combine the white cake mix, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and egg whites. Mix until smooth and well combined. Pour about half of the batter into the prepared baking pan. - Make the Cheesecake Filling
In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until creamy and lump-free. - Layer the Cake
Spoon the cheesecake mixture evenly over the first layer of cake batter. Carefully pour the remaining cake batter over the cheesecake layer, spreading gently to cover. - Bake
Bake for 40–50 minutes, or until the top is lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into the cake layer comes out clean (avoid testing the cheesecake center).
- Cool and Serve
Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing so the cheesecake layer can set properly.
