9 cups Chex cereal (any mix: corn, rice, wheat)
2 cups pretzels (sticks or twists)
1 cup rye chips (optional but recommended)
1 cup cheese crackers (like Cheez-Its)
1 stick (½ cup / 113 g) butter, melted
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
3 tablespoons dill pickle juice
1 tablespoon dried dill weed
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder (optional)
¼ teaspoon black pepper (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat & Prep
Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C).
Line a large baking sheet (or two) with parchment paper or foil.
2. Mix the Dry Ingredients
In a very large bowl, combine:
Chex cereal
Pretzels
Rye chips
Cheese crackers
Gently toss so everything is evenly mixed.
3. Make the Dill Pickle Butter
In a separate bowl, whisk together:
Melted butter
Ranch seasoning packet
Dill pickle juice
Dried dill weed
Garlic powder
Onion powder & black pepper (if using)
Mix well until smooth and fully combined.
4. Coat the Mix
Slowly pour the butter mixture over the dry ingredients.
Gently stir with a spatula until everything is evenly coated.
5. Bake Low & Slow
