Instructions
1. Combine Base Ingredients
In a large stockpot, pour in ½ gallon apple juice and 1 gallon apple cider.
Add both sugars, cinnamon sticks, allspice, apple pie spice, vanilla extract, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch sprinkles.
2. Simmer the Mixture
Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugars fully dissolve and the spices infuse (about 30–45 minutes).
Do not boil, as this can change the flavor of the cider.
3. Add the Moonshine
Once simmered and fragrant, remove from heat.
Allow to cool slightly — the liquid should be warm but not hot.
Stir in 2 quarts of 150-proof moonshine (or your preferred clear spirit).
Mix thoroughly to combine.
4. Bottle and Infuse
Using a funnel, pour the finished moonshine into mason jars or glass bottles, leaving about ½ inch of space at the top.
Into each jar, add:
- 2 thin red apple slices
- 1 cinnamon stick
- A dash of Cinnamon Toast Crunch sprinkles
Seal the jars tightly.
5. Rest and Serve
For best flavor, let the jars sit for 24–48 hours before serving to allow the spices and apples to blend with the alcohol.
Serve chilled or over ice — or warm gently for a cozy treat.
Notes & Tips
- This batch yields roughly 1.5 gallons of apple pie moonshine.
- Store in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months (if it lasts that long!).
- The flavor deepens the longer it rests — 2 weeks is ideal for a rich, pie-like taste.
- For a non-alcoholic version, replace moonshine with extra cider and a bit of vanilla extract.
