Best Double Chocolate Coca-Cola Cake
Ingredients:
For the Cake:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup Coca-Cola (not diet)
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Frosting:
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
6 tablespoons Coca-Cola
3 cups powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, sift together:
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3. Add Wet Ingredients
Add to the dry ingredients:
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup Coca-Cola
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix until smooth and well combined. The batter will be slightly thin—that’s normal!
4. Bake
Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool completely in the pan.
5. Prepare the Frosting
In a small saucepan, combine:
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup cocoa powder
6 tablespoons Coca-Cola
Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until butter is melted and mixture is smooth.
Remove from heat and stir in:
3 cups powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix until smooth. The frosting will be slightly thin—perfect for pouring over the cake.
6. Frost the Cake
Once the cake is cooled, pour the frosting evenly over the top.
Spread gently with a spatula so it drips slightly over the sides.
7. Serve
Let the frosting set for about 15–20 minutes before slicing.
Cut into squares and enjoy your rich, moist, chocolatey Coca-Cola cake!
Tips:
For an extra indulgent cake, sprinkle some chocolate chips on top before baking.
This cake tastes even better the next day as the flavors meld.
