Purple Haze Moonshine

Purple Haze Moonshine
Ingredients:
1 bottle (750 ml) Everclear (or other high-proof neutral grain alcohol)
1 bottle (750 ml) vodka (optional — for smoother flavor)
1 cup blackberry liqueur (like Chambord or a cheaper alternative)
2 cups grape juice concentrate (thawed)
1 cup cranberry juice
½ cup lemon juice (fresh or bottled)
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups water
1 pint fresh or frozen blackberries
1 pint fresh or frozen blueberries
Instructions:
1. Make the syrup base:
In a large pot, combine water and sugar.
Heat over medium until the sugar dissolves completely.
Add grape juice, cranberry juice, lemon juice, and the berries.
Bring to a gentle simmer for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
2. Strain and combine:
Once cooled, strain out the fruit using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
Pour the liquid into a large container or gallon jar.
3. Add the shine:
Stir in the Everclear, and optionally the vodka and blackberry liqueur.
Mix well to combine.
4. Age (optional but recommended):
Pour into mason jars or glass bottles with tight lids.
Let it sit for at least 1 week in a cool, dark place — the flavors will mellow and deepen beautifully.
Chill before serving.
To Serve:
Serve over ice or mix with lemon-lime soda or tonic water for a fizzy cocktail.
Garnish with a few fresh berries or a lemon twist.
