Classic 7-Layer Dip

Ingredients
- 2 cans refried beans
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1½ cups prepared mild guacamole
- 2 cups sour cream
- 1 (1-oz) packet mild taco seasoning
- 16 oz chunky mild salsa
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
- 2 cups pre-shredded fiesta blend cheese
- 2.25 oz sliced black olives (drained)
- 1 cup chopped Roma tomatoes
- ½ cup thinly sliced green onions
Instructions
- Prepare the Bean Layer
In a bowl, stir the refried beans with the water until smooth and spreadable.
Spread evenly in the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish or large glass serving bowl. - Add the Guacamole Layer
Gently spread the guacamole evenly over the bean layer, being careful not to mix. - Season the Sour Cream
In a separate bowl, mix the sour cream with the taco seasoning until fully combined.
Spread this mixture evenly over the guacamole. - Salsa Layer
Spoon the salsa evenly over the sour cream layer. If salsa is watery, drain slightly first. - Lettuce Layer
Sprinkle shredded lettuce evenly over the salsa. - Cheese Layer
Top with the fiesta blend cheese, spreading it evenly to cover the lettuce. - Finish with Toppings
Sprinkle black olives, chopped tomatoes, and green onions evenly over the top.
Chill & Serve
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes if time allows for best flavor and clean layers.
- Serve chilled with tortilla chips, corn chips, or scoops.
Tips
- For clean layers, use a spatula and spread gently from the center outward.
- To prevent browning, keep the guacamole layer fully covered by sour cream.
- Best enjoyed the same day, but can be covered and refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
