Christmas Peppermint Tea

Christmas Peppermint Tea
There’s nothing quite like a warm, fragrant cup of tea during the holiday season. Christmas Peppermint Tea is a soothing and refreshing beverage that combines the cool, invigorating flavor of peppermint with subtle notes of cozy spices. It’s simple to make, naturally caffeine-free, and perfect for sharing with family and friends during festive gatherings.
Ingredients
For the Tea:
4 cups water
3 peppermint tea bags (or loose-leaf peppermint tea in an infuser)
1 cinnamon stick
2–3 whole cloves
1–2 slices fresh ginger (optional, adds extra warmth)
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for gentle sweetness)
For Garnish:
Fresh mint leaves
Crushed candy canes
Lemon slices
Directions
1. Boil the Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a gentle boil.
2. Add Tea and Spices
Remove the pan from heat. Add peppermint tea bags, the cinnamon stick, cloves, and ginger slices if using. Cover and let steep for 5–7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.
3. Sweeten (Optional)
Take out the tea bags and strain away the spices. Stir in honey or maple syrup for added sweetness.
4. Serve Warm
Pour the tea into mugs and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint, a slice of lemon, and a sprinkle of crushed candy canes for a festive finish.
5. For Iced Tea
Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice with the same garnishes for a refreshing twist.
