Christmas Salad
This colorful salad is called Christmas Salad because it bursts with vibrant, festive colors—perfect for brightening any holiday table!
Ingredients:
- 1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
- 1 head of cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)
For the Dressing (optional but recommended):
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Prepare the Vegetables
Rinse the broccoli and cauliflower, then cut them into bite-sized florets. Place them in a large salad bowl. - Add the Remaining Ingredients
Add the sliced red onion and halved cherry tomatoes. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top if using. - Make the Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice (or vinegar), honey, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until well combined. - Toss the Salad
Pour the dressing over the vegetables and toss gently until everything is evenly coated.
- Serve
Enjoy immediately for a crisp texture, or refrigerate for 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
