Ingredients:

1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

1 ½ cups cold milk (whole or 2%)

1 tub (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed

1 cup mini marshmallows

3–4 ripe bananas, sliced into coins

1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, to prevent browning)

1 ½ cups vanilla wafer cookies (whole or crushed)

Instructions:

1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes, until thickened.

2. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping and mini marshmallows until the mixture is light and fluffy.

3. If using, toss the banana slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.

4. In a large serving bowl or trifle dish, layer half of the vanilla wafer cookies.

5. Spread half of the pudding mixture over the cookies.

6. Add a layer of banana slices on top of the pudding.

7. Repeat the layers with the remaining cookies, pudding, and bananas.

8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the cookies to soften slightly.
