Easy Pecan Pie Bars

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

 

 

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, softened butter, granulated sugar, and salt. Mix until it forms a crumbly texture.
  3. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  4. Bake the crust for about 20 minutes, or until it turns lightly golden.
  5. Meanwhile, in another bowl, whisk together the eggs, light corn syrup, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  6. Pour the pecan mixture over the baked crust. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the filling is set.
  7. Let the bars cool completely before cutting into squares.
