Easy Pecan Pie Bars
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, softened butter, granulated sugar, and salt. Mix until it forms a crumbly texture.
- Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Bake the crust for about 20 minutes, or until it turns lightly golden.
- Meanwhile, in another bowl, whisk together the eggs, light corn syrup, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the pecan mixture over the baked crust. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the filling is set.
- Let the bars cool completely before cutting into squares.
