Honey Garlic Ribs

Honey Garlic Ribs
Finger-licking, sweet, and savory ribs that are tender on the inside and perfectly caramelized on the outside.
Ingredients
- 4 pounds pork spareribs
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced (optional, for extra flavor)
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. Prepare the Ribs
Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). If desired, remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs for a more tender texture. Cut the ribs into smaller sections for easier handling.
2. Make the Sauce
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger (if using), apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth and well combined.
3. Coat the Ribs
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place the ribs on it. Generously brush the ribs on both sides with the honey garlic sauce, reserving a small amount for later. Cover tightly with another sheet of foil to keep the ribs moist.
4. Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 2½ to 3 hours, until the ribs are very tender and the meat begins to pull away from the bones.
5. Caramelize
Remove the top foil and brush the ribs with the remaining sauce. Increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) and bake uncovered for 10–15 minutes, until the ribs are sticky and caramelized.
6. Serve
Let the ribs rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy them warm with coleslaw, roasted vegetables, or mashed potatoes.
