This bold and boozy moonshine takes you straight back to your favorite childhood candy—now with an adult twist! Infused with vibrant Sweet Tart candies and blended into a smooth, tart-sweet spirit, this DIY concoction is perfect for parties, gifting, or chilling in the freezer for a fun-flavored shot whenever the mood strikes.
Ingredients (Makes about 4 cups):
1 cup Sweet Tart candies (any flavor combo you prefer)
3 cups Everclear (190-proof) — or substitute with plain vodka for a gentler version
1 cup water
¾ cup granulated sugar
Directions
Infuse the Candy:
Place the Sweet Tart candies in a large mason jar or sealable glass container. Pour in the Everclear or vodka. Seal tightly and give it a good shake to start dissolving the candies.
Let It Sit:
Leave the mixture at room temperature for 24 to 48 hours, shaking it occasionally until all the candy is fully dissolved.
Make Simple Syrup:
In a saucepan, combine 1 cup water and ¾ cup sugar. Heat over medium, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
Combine & Mix:
Once the syrup is cool and the candy infusion is ready, pour the syrup into the infused alcohol and stir to combine.
Strain & Bottle:
(Optional) Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove any leftover residue. Funnel the finished moonshine into clean glass bottles or jars.
Chill & Serve:
Store in the fridge or freezer and serve cold in small glasses or as fun party shots. Cheers!
