1 cup (for whisking with cocoa powder)

2½ cups (for the crockpot)

¼ cup unsweetened Dutch-processed cocoa powder

4 cups whole milk

14 oz sweetened condensed milk

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Mini marshmallows, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. Make the Cocoa Mixture

In a small saucepan over low heat, whisk together:

1 cup heavy cream

Cocoa powder

Whisk continuously until smooth and fully dissolved.

Heat just until warm—do not boil.

Remove from heat.

2. Add to Crockpot

Pour the cocoa mixture into the slow cooker.

Add:

Remaining 2½ cups heavy cream

Whole milk

Sweetened condensed milk

Vanilla extract

Chocolate chips

Stir gently until combined.

3. Cook

Cover and cook on LOW for 2–3 hours.

Stir every 30 minutes to prevent scorching and help melt the chocolate evenly.

Once smooth and hot, switch to the WARM setting for serving.

Serve

Ladle into mugs.

Top with mini marshmallows if desired.

Optional add-ins: whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or a sprinkle of cocoa powder.

Tips

For extra richness, replace 1 cup of milk with more cream.

Keep the lid on while serving to maintain heat.

Stir occasionally if kept warm for long periods
