One-Pan Cheesy Tortellini Pizza Skillet

This easy weeknight meal brings all the flavors of a cheesy pepperoni pizza—mixed with tender cheese tortellini, rich sauce, and melty mozzarella—all in one skillet!

Ingredients

Meat & Seasoning

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Sauce & Pasta

  • 24 oz (680 g) marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 package (19 oz / 540 g) cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)

Toppings

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 20–25 mini pepperoni slices
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese  (optional)
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley  (for garnish)

Instructions

1️⃣ Brown the Beef
In a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned (about 5–7 minutes).
Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir well and drain excess fat if needed.

2️⃣ Add Sauce and Tortellini
Pour the marinara or pizza sauce into the skillet and stir to coat the beef evenly.
Add the tortellini (no need to pre-boil if fresh; if frozen, add directly). Stir until all are well coated in sauce.

3️⃣ Simmer
Cover the skillet and cook over medium-low heat for 5–7 minutes, until the tortellini are heated through and tender.

4️⃣ Top with Cheese and Pepperoni
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the skillet.
Layer mini pepperoni slices on top, and add Parmesan if desired.

5️⃣ Melt and Finish
Cover for 2–3 minutes or place under the broiler for 2–4 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

6️⃣ Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle dried parsley on top . Serve hot and enjoy every cheesy, saucy, pepperoni-packed bite!
