One-Pot Macaroni Cheeseburger Soup

One-Pot Macaroni Cheeseburger Soup
Warm, cheesy, and incredibly satisfying — this One-Pot Macaroni Cheeseburger Soup combines all your favorite comfort flavors in one easy dish. Perfect for busy weeknights or cozy weekends!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Optional toppings: extra cheese, chopped parsley, green onions, or crispy bacon bits
Instructions:
Step 1: Brown the Beef and Onion
In a large pot, cook ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until the beef is no longer pink and the onions have softened. Stir occasionally to prevent burning. Once cooked, drain off any excess fat.
Step 2: Add the Broth
Pour in beef broth and bring the mixture to a gentle boil. The broth will absorb the flavors from the beef, creating a rich base for your soup.
Step 3: Cook the Macaroni
Add elbow macaroni to the pot and stir well. Let it cook for 7–8 minutes, or until the pasta is tender but still firm (al dente). Stir occasionally to make sure the macaroni doesn’t stick to the bottom.
Step 4: Make It Creamy and Cheesy
Lower the heat to low. Gradually pour in the milk, stirring constantly to blend. Then add shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until it’s completely melted and the soup becomes creamy and smooth.
Step 5: Season and Serve
Season with salt and black pepper to your liking. Ladle the hot soup into bowls, then top with your favorite garnishes — a sprinkle of extra cheese, fresh parsley, or even crispy bacon for extra flavor.
Optional Add-Ins (for more flavor):
- 1 cup diced tomatoes for a tangy twist
- 1/2 cup diced pickles for a “cheeseburger” flavor kick
- 1 teaspoon mustard or ketchup for a fun burger-inspired taste
- 1/2 cup heavy cream for extra creaminess
This hearty soup tastes like a cheeseburger in a bowl — cheesy, meaty, and so comforting. Serve it with garlic bread or a fresh green salad for a complete meal everyone will love.
