Lemon Ginger Turmeric Fat-Burning Drink

Ingredients:

  • 1 lemon, freshly squeezed
  • 1 inch (2–3 cm) piece of fresh ginger root, peeled and grated
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric (or 1-inch fresh turmeric root, grated)
  • 2 cups (500 ml) water
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for taste)
  • A pinch of black pepper (to boost turmeric absorption)

Instructions:

  1. Boil the Water
    • In a small saucepan, bring the 2 cups of water to a gentle boil.
  2. Add Ginger and Turmeric
    • Add the grated ginger and turmeric to the boiling water.
    • Lower the heat and simmer for 5–10 minutes to allow the flavors and nutrients to infuse.
  3. Strain the Mixture
    • Turn off the heat and let it cool slightly.
    • Strain the liquid into a mug or glass to remove the solid bits.
  4. Add Lemon and Optional Ingredients
    • Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice.
    • Add a pinch of black pepper to enhance the turmeric’s fat-burning effect.
    • Sweeten with honey or maple syrup if desired.
  5. Serve
    • Enjoy warm in the morning on an empty stomach for best results, or drink it before bedtime to support overnight detox and metabolism.
