Homemade Candy Corn Moonshine

Homemade Candy Corn Moonshine

Candy corn and fall go hand in hand, and this homemade candy corn moonshine recipe is basically fall in a jar! Not only is it a beautiful bright orange color, but it really does taste just like the iconic fall candy!

While we can’t truly make our own moonshine at home (or at least I can’t tell you to do that!) we can make a fun and tasty candy corn infused vodka (or Everclear if you like it strong). More notes about what is “moonshine” in the FAQ section below.

I am so excited about this recipe and can’t wait to make a batch to share with friends on the patio as we enjoy the first days of fall. Now if only this Texas weather would cooperate!

Instructions

1. Add 1 cup of candy corn to a clean, empty pint jar.

2. Pour in 2 cups or plain vodka or Everclear (depending on how strong you want your finished product to be).

3. Place the lid on the jar and allow to steep overnight at room temperature.

4. Strain into another jar, or a separate container, to remove anything that’s left of the candy corn.

Prep Tips

You can steep the candy corn for up to 2 days for maximum flavor, but it is ready to drink after about 12 hours. At the very least, I would recommend keeping the candy corn in the vodka overnight.

Make a candy corn cocktail by pouring 2 ounces of your homemade candy corn moonshine over ice and topping with cream soda.

We used plain vodka for our moonshine, so essentially we made an infused vodka recipe. You can use Everclear if you want a stronger “moonshine” or you could even start with your favorite moonshine as the base. It all depends on your preference for flavor and strength.
