Root Beer Float Jello Shots

Root Beer Float Jello Shots

Bubbly, creamy, and irresistibly nostalgic — these jello shots bring back all the fizzy fun of a classic root beer float, with a playful adult twist that’s perfect for parties or holiday celebrations!

Ingredients

  • 1 box (3 oz) unflavored gelatin (or 2 packets)
  • 1 cup root beer (avoid diet)
  • ½ cup vanilla vodka
  • ½ cup cold water
  • ¼ cup sweetened condensed milk (for extra creaminess)
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Maraschino cherries (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Bloom the Gelatin
In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over ½ cup of cold water. Let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom and soften.

2. Heat the Root Beer
In a saucepan, warm 1 cup of root beer over medium heat until it’s hot but not boiling. Remove from heat.

3. Dissolve the Gelatin
Add the bloomed gelatin to the warm root beer and stir until completely dissolved and smooth.

4. Add Flavor & Creaminess
Stir in the vanilla vodka and sweetened condensed milk, mixing until the liquid is creamy and evenly blended.

5. Pour and Chill
Pour the mixture into 2-ounce plastic shot cups, filling each about three-quarters full.
Refrigerate for 3–4 hours, or until fully set.

6. Serve & Enjoy
Before serving, top each shot with a swirl of whipped cream and a maraschino cherry for the perfect root beer float finish!
