innamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups

 

 

Ingredients

6 slices of bread (white or whole wheat)

1 can (8 oz) cinnamon rolls with icing

3 large eggs

¼ cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional, for extra flavor)

1 tablespoon sugar (optional)

Butter or oil for cooking

Pwdered sugar or maple syrup (optional, for serving)

 

 

 

 

Instructions

1. Prep the Bread

Cut the cinnamon rolls into thin slices.

Trim the crusts off the bread.

Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin.

2. Fill & Roll

Place a few cinnamon roll slices along one edge of each bread slice.

Roll the bread up tightly, pressing gently to seal.

 

 

 

3. Make the Egg Mixture

 

In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar (if using).

 

 

 

4. Dip the Roll-Ups

 

Dip each roll-up into the egg mixture, coating all sides but not soaking.

 

 

 

5. Cook

 

Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil.

 

Cook roll-ups seam-side down, turning gently until golden brown on all sides (about 2–3 minutes per side).

 

 

 

6. Finish & Serve

 

Drizzle with the cinnamon roll icing.

 

Dust with powdered sugar or serve with maple syrup if desired.

 

 

 

Tips

Serve warm for the best gooey cinnamon center

 

Great with fresh fruit or a glass of milk

You can bake them at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes if you prefer less pan-frying
