Strawberry Crunch Tres Leches Cake

This dessert is a dreamy mix of creamy, sweet, and crunchy layers that’s sure to impress!

 

 

Instructions:

  1. Bake the Cake:
    Prepare one box of strawberry cake mix according to the package instructions. Once baked, let the cake cool for about 10 minutes. Then, use the handle of a wooden spoon or a straw to poke holes all over the top of the cake.
  2. Make the Milk Mixture:
    In a bowl, whisk together:

    • 1 cup heavy cream
    • 1 can evaporated milk
    • 1 can sweetened condensed milk

    Slowly pour this mixture evenly over the cake, allowing it to soak into the holes.

  3. Prepare the Whipped Cream Topping:
    In a separate bowl, combine:

    • 1 cup heavy cream
    • ¼ cup sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Beat until soft peaks form and the texture is light and fluffy. Spread this whipped cream evenly over the soaked cake.

  4. Create the Strawberry Crunch Topping:
    Melt ¼ cup of butter.
    Finely crush 18 golden Oreos and divide them into two halves.

    • Mix one half with half of the melted butter.
    • In a separate bowl, combine the remaining butter with one 3-oz packet of strawberry Jell-O mix.
    • Mix the two parts together until you get a crumbly, crunchy texture.

    Sprinkle this strawberry crunch mixture evenly over the top of the cake.

 

 

  1. Chill and Serve:
    Refrigerate the cake overnight to let all the flavors blend beautifully.
