Texas Trash Dip
Ingredients:
- 1 (16 oz) can refried beans
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 (1 oz) packet taco seasoning mix
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- Optional toppings: sliced olives, chopped green onions, diced tomatoes, or jalapeño slices
- Tortilla chips, for serving
Instructions:
- Preheat oven:
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). - Mix the base:
In a large bowl, combine refried beans, cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning. Stir until smooth and creamy. - Assemble the dip:
Spread the mixture evenly into a 9×9-inch baking dish (or any oven-safe dish).
Sprinkle cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese evenly over the top. - Bake:
Place in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. - Garnish & serve:
Remove from the oven and top with your favorite garnishes — green onions, olives, diced tomatoes, or jalapeños.
Serve hot with tortilla chips for dipping.
Tips:
- Add a layer of salsa or green chiles before baking for extra flavor.
- Want more heat? Mix in a dash of hot sauce or cayenne pepper.
- Perfect for game day, potlucks, or family movie nights — it stays warm and gooey for hours!
