The Softest Cake in the World
It melts in your mouth — light, moist, and full of flavor!
Ingredients:
- 3 large eggs
- 1 pinch of salt
- 8g vanilla sugar (or 1 tsp vanilla extract)
- 100ml warm milk
- 1 tablespoon instant coffee (dissolved in the milk)
- 180g all-purpose flour
- 20g unsweetened cocoa powder
- 15g baking powder (about 1 tbsp)
- 150g granulated sugar
- 100ml vegetable oil (sunflower or canola)
Optional for Extra Softness:
- 2 tbsp plain yogurt or sour cream
- Powdered sugar or melted chocolate for topping
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F). Grease and line a baking pan (about 22–24 cm).
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt until pale and fluffy (about 3–4 minutes).
- Add the oil and warm milk (mixed with coffee), and whisk again until smooth.
- Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Gradually fold into the wet ingredients using a spatula.
- Mix gently until the batter is smooth and lump-free. Don’t overmix!
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool completely, then dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with melted chocolate.
Serving Tip:
Perfect with a cup of coffee or milk — it’s so soft it almost disappears in your mouth!
