Triple Double Batch Peanut Butter Fudge

Triple Double Batch Peanut Butter Fudge

Creamy • Old-Fashioned • Irresistibly Rich

About This Recipe

This old-fashioned peanut butter fudge is smooth, creamy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious — a nostalgic treat that brings back sweet memories of Grandma’s kitchen.

We’re making 3 double batches of it — that’s six regular batches total! Perfect for holiday platters, homemade gifts, or simply keeping a secret stash in your freezer for those sweet-tooth emergencies.

This recipe comes together in just minutes on the stovetop and delivers that perfect balance of sweet, nutty, and creamy flavors every single time.

Ingredients (for 3 double batches)

(Each double batch = 2 regular batches, so multiply all by 6 total)

6 cups granulated sugar

3 cups whole milk

6 cups creamy peanut butter (about 3 jars, 16 oz each)

6 teaspoons (2 tablespoons) vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare Your Pans

Line three 9×13-inch pans with parchment paper or foil and lightly grease with butter or nonstick spray. Set aside.

2. Boil the Sugar & Milk

In a large heavy-bottomed pot, combine 6 cups sugar and 3 cups milk.

Stir constantly over medium-high heat until the mixture begins to boil.

Continue stirring and boil for 3–4 minutes, or until it reaches the soft-ball stage (about 234°F / 112°C on a candy thermometer).

3. Add Peanut Butter & Vanilla

Remove from heat immediately.

Stir in 6 cups peanut butter and 2 tablespoons vanilla extract.

Mix quickly until smooth and creamy — it will thicken fast!

4. Pour & Set

Pour the hot fudge evenly into the prepared pans.

Smooth the tops with a spatula.

Let cool at room temperature for about 2 hours, or refrigerate for 1 hour until firm.

5. Cut & Serve

Lift the fudge using the parchment paper and cut into bite-sized squares.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or refrigerate/freeze for longer freshness.

Tips for the Perfect Fudge

Use full-fat milk (or add a splash of heavy cream) for a luxuriously creamy texture.

If your peanut butter is unsalted, add a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness.

For a fun twist: swirl in melted chocolate or sprinkle chopped peanuts on top before it sets.

To make clean cuts, chill the fudge slightly and slice with a warm, sharp knife.
