Melt-In-Your-Mouth Hot Fudge Pie

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Hot Fudge Pie
Ingredients
1 unbaked pie crust (9-inch)
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
3 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp vanilla extract
Optional: Vanilla ice cream for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat and Prep
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Place the unbaked pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate and crimp the edges.
2. Cream Butter and Sugar
In a medium bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and creamy.
3. Add Eggs
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
4. Add Dry Ingredients
Sift the cocoa powder and flour into the wet mixture.
Stir until just combined and smooth (do not overmix).
5. Bake
Pour the thick chocolate batter into the unbaked pie crust.
Bake for 30–35 minutes.
The pie is done when a crust forms on top, but the center is still slightly gooey (like a soft brownie).
6. Serve
Let cool for 10 minutes (it will sink slightly as it cools, which is normal).
Serve warm, topped with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream to get the full “hot fudge” effect.
