5-Minute Cupcakes (Fondant in the Mouth)

5-Minute Cupcakes (Fondant in the Mouth)

Ingredients (makes about 6–8 cupcakes):

  • 300 g all-purpose flour
  • 120 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 120 ml milk
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar (about 8–10 g)
  • 1 pinch of baking powder
  • Optional: 50 g melted butter or 3 tbsp vegetable oil (for extra moistness)
  • Optional: 1 egg (helps structure, but can be skipped for ultra-quick version)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    In a large bowl, combine:

    • Flour
    • Sugar
    • Vanilla sugar
    • Salt
    • Baking powder
      Whisk together until evenly mixed.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients:
Slowly add the milk (and melted butter or oil if using).
If you’re using an egg, beat it lightly and add it now.
Mix gently until smooth. Avoid overmixing; a few small lumps are okay.
  4. Fill Cupcake Liners:
Pour the batter into the liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
  5. Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool & Serve:
Let cupcakes cool for 5 minutes in the tin, then transfer to a wire rack.
They are soft, tender, and melt in your mouth from the first bite!

Tips for Extra Flavor:

  • Sprinkle powdered sugar on top before serving.
  • Add chocolate chips or berries to the batter for a twist.
  • For a richer taste, replace half of the milk with cream.
