Ingredients
For the Steak
400g (14 oz) ribeye or sirloin steak, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon honey or brown sugar
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
For the Bowl
2 cups cooked jasmine or basmati rice
1 cup steamed broccoli florets
1 medium carrot, julienned
1 avocado, sliced
2 green onions, sliced
Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
In a bowl, combine the steak slices, soy sauce, honey, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Let marinate for 15–20 minutes.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak slices and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your liking.
Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir continuously for about 1 minute until fragrant and the steak is coated in the garlic butter sauce.
Divide the cooked rice among serving bowls.
Arrange the broccoli, carrots, and avocado around the rice.
Top with the garlic butter steak and drizzle any remaining sauce from the skillet over the bowls.
Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
