Shrimp and Sausage Foil Packets
This Shrimp and Sausage Foil Packets recipe brings together the bold, smoky flavor of sausage with juicy shrimp, tender potatoes, and sweet corn — all cooked together in a single packet. It’s a simple, no-mess meal that’s perfect for busy weeknights or outdoor grilling. Each bite bursts with savory, garlicky goodness and a hint of spice from paprika, making it a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients:
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 cups corn (fresh, frozen, or canned)
2 medium potatoes, diced
1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional: chopped fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven
Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and allow it to fully preheat while you prepare the packets.
2. Prepare the Foil
Tear off large sheets of aluminum foil (about 12×12 inches) — one for each serving.
3. Mix the Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, corn, diced potatoes, sausage slices, olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss until everything is evenly coated.
4. Assemble the Packets
Divide the mixture evenly among the foil pieces, placing the ingredients in the center of each sheet.
5. Seal the Packets
Bring the sides of the foil up and fold them over to completely seal each packet, locking in the flavors and steam.
6. Bake
Arrange the packets on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the shrimp are fully cooked.
7. Serve and Enjoy
Carefully open the foil packets (watch out for the hot steam!). Transfer to plates or serve directly from the foil for an easy cleanup. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and enjoy a delicious, hearty meal that’s bursting with flavor.
Tip:
You can also cook these packets on the grill over medium-high heat for 15–20 minutes, flipping once halfway through. Perfect for summer BBQs or camping trips!
