Gordon Ramsay-Inspired Steak Marinade

Gordon Ramsay-Inspired Steak Marinade
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- 2/3 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/3 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a hint of heat)
Instructions:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, olive oil, and dark brown sugar until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add the minced garlic, chopped rosemary, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well to combine.
- Place your steak (such as ribeye, sirloin, or flank) in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish.
- Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it’s well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably up to 2 hours.
- Before cooking, remove the steak from the marinade and let it come to room temperature for about 15 minutes.
- Cook the steak using your preferred method—grilling, pan-searing, or broiling—until it reaches your desired level of doneness.
- Allow the steak to rest for a few minutes before slicing to retain its juices.
Tips:
- For added depth, you can incorporate a teaspoon of Dijon mustard or a splash of Worcestershire sauce into the marinade.
- If you prefer a smoky flavor, consider adding a dash of smoked paprika.
- Always pat the steak dry before cooking to achieve a better sear.
Enjoy your perfectly marinated steak!
