Bring the festive spirit to your dessert table with these soft, chewy Christmas Cookie Bars — loaded with red and green M&Ms, colorful sprinkles, and pure holiday joy in every bite!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup red and green M&Ms
  • ½ cup festive holiday sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven
    Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the Wet Ingredients
    In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
    Add the eggs and vanilla extract, stirring until well blended.
  3. Combine the Dry Ingredients
    In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
    Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined — don’t overmix!
  4. Add the Festive Touch
    Fold in M&Ms and sprinkles, saving a small handful of each for topping.
  5. Bake
    Spread the cookie dough evenly into the prepared pan.
    Sprinkle the reserved M&Ms and sprinkles over the top for a colorful finish.
    Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the edges turn golden and the center is set.
  6. Cool and Slice
    Let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.
