Grinch Christmas Crack – Full Recipe

Ingredients

40–45 saltine crackers (enough to cover a baking sheet)

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1½–2 cups white chocolate chips

Green food coloring

Red heart sprinkles (for the Grinch touch)

Optional toppings: crushed candy cane, holiday sprinkles, mini marshmallows

 

 

 

Instructions

1. Prep

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil, then lightly spray with nonstick spray.

Arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.

 

 

 

2. Make the Toffee

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together.

Bring to a boil, then let it bubble for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.

Carefully pour the hot toffee mixture over the saltines and spread evenly.

3. Bake

Place the tray in the oven and bake for 5 minutes, until the toffee is bubbly.

 

4. Add the Green Chocolate Layer

Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the white chocolate chips over the hot toffee.

Let sit 2–3 minutes to melt, then spread evenly with a spatula.

Add green food coloring until you get that perfect Grinch-green color.

 

 

 

5. Decorate

Sprinkle with red heart candies.

Add any extra sprinkles or crushed candy canes if you want more fun and crunch.

 

6. Chill

Place the tray in the fridge or freezer for 30–60 minutes, until fully hardened.

 

7. Break Into Pieces

Remove from the tray and break into delicious, messy, Grinchy chunks!
