Caramel Glow Drizzle Cocoa
Rich • Creamy • Chocolatey • Comforting
Servings
Makes 1 large mug or 2 small cups
Total Time
10–12 minutes
Ingredients
Cocoa Base
2 cups milk (whole milk for extra creaminess, or almond/oat milk for dairy-free)
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2–3 tablespoons sugar, to taste
(white sugar, brown sugar, or coconut sugar all work)
2 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional, but highly recommended for richness)
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt (brings out the chocolate flavor)
Toppings (Optional but Delicious)
Whipped cream (homemade or store-bought)
Caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Extra chocolate shavings or cocoa powder (optional)
Instructions
1️⃣ Heat the Milk
Pour the milk into a small saucepan.
Warm over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally.
Do not let it boil—just heat until steaming and hot.
2️⃣ Build the Cocoa Flavor
Add the cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and chocolate chips to the warm milk.
Whisk constantly until:
Cocoa powder fully dissolves
Chocolate chips melt completely
The mixture looks smooth, thick, and glossy
(This takes about 2–3 minutes.)
3️⃣ Add Vanilla
Remove the pot from heat.
Stir in the vanilla extract for warmth and aroma.
4️⃣ Serve
Pour the cocoa into your favorite mug.
5️⃣ Finish with the Glow
Top with a generous swirl of whipped cream if desired.
Warm the caramel sauce slightly (10–15 seconds) so it flows easily.
Drizzle it slowly over the whipped cream in thin ribbons for that shiny caramel glow.
Pro Tips
For extra creaminess, replace ¼ cup of milk with heavy cream.
For a deeper chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
Want a café-style touch? Dust lightly with cocoa powder or cinnamon on top.
If making for kids, keep sweetness mild and let them add caramel themselves.
