1 (1 oz) packet taco seasoning mix

1 (16 oz / 450 g) can refried beans

1 (8 oz / 225 g) package cream cheese, softened

1 (16 oz / 450 g) container sour cream

Toppings (Classic Combo)

1–1½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Mexican blend, or Colby-Jack)

1 cup shredded iceberg or romaine lettuce

1–2 medium tomatoes, diced (seeds removed)

¼ cup sliced black olives

2–3 green onions, finely chopped

Optional Add-Ins (Highly Recommended)

½ cup salsa or pico de gallo

½ cup canned corn, drained

½ cup diced bell peppers

¼ tsp garlic powder

¼ tsp cumin

Fresh cilantro, chopped

Jalapeños (fresh or pickled, if you like heat)

 

 

 

 

Step-by-Step Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Bean Layer

In a bowl, mix:

Refried beans

½ packet of taco seasoning

Stir until smooth and evenly seasoned

Spread evenly in the bottom of a 9×9 inch dish or round serving platter

2️⃣ Make the Creamy Layer

In another bowl, combine:

Softened cream cheese

Sour cream

Remaining ½ packet taco seasoning

Beat until smooth, fluffy, and lump-free

This is the heart of the dip—make it silky!

3️⃣ Layer It Up

Spread layers in this order:

Seasoned refried beans

Cream cheese–sour cream mixture

Shredded cheese

Lettuce

Tomatoes

Olives

Green onions
