Golden Garlic Butter Tortellini Bake

  • Golden Garlic Butter Tortellini Bake (4-Ingredient Comfort Classic)

Some recipes don’t need a long ingredient list to feel special—just a little tradition and a lot of warmth. This garlic butter tortellini bake is one of those treasured dishes passed down from my grandmother. She always said the best comfort food is simple, cheesy, and made with care. With only four ingredients, this dish delivers tender pasta coated in rich garlic butter and finished with a golden, crispy Parmesan crust. It’s easy, satisfying, and perfect for those nights when you want something cozy without the effort.

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

1 pound refrigerated cheese tortellini

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter

4 large garlic cloves, finely minced

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and lightly grease it to prevent sticking.

Cook the tortellini:

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the tortellini and cook until just tender, about 2–3 minutes less than the package instructions. Drain well.

Prepare the garlic butter:

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook gently for 1–2 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant and lightly golden. Remove from heat.

Combine everything:

In a large bowl, toss the drained tortellini with the garlic butter and 1/2 cup of the Parmesan cheese until evenly coated.

Bake:

Spread the tortellini in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of Parmesan evenly over the top.

Roast to perfection:

Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the edges are slightly crispy and the cheese forms a golden crust.

Optional finish:

Broil for 2–3 minutes at the end for an extra crispy, bubbly top.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve hot straight from the oven for the best texture and flavor. This dish pairs beautifully with:

A fresh green salad with lemon and olive oil

Steamed broccoli or roasted vegetables

Warm garlic bread or a crusty baguette

For extra flavor, offer a side of marinara sauce for dipping or drizzling.

Helpful Tips:

Don’t overcook the tortellini before baking—it will finish cooking in the oven.

Keep the garlic lightly golden, not browned, to avoid bitterness.

Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best melt and flavor.

Simple, buttery, and irresistibly cheesy—this is the kind of meal that feels like home in every bite.
