Golden Creamy Chicken Noodle Casserole Delight

 

 

 

A rich, comforting casserole packed with tender chicken, soft egg noodles, and a velvety homemade cream sauce—perfect for a cozy family dinner.

Ingredients:

3 cups cooked egg noodles

2 cups cooked chicken breast, cubed

2 tablespoons butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 cups milk

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or mozzarella)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)

1/2 teaspoon dried parsley or Italian seasoning

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (for topping)

1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter (for topping)

 

 

 

 

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a baking dish.

Prepare the sauce:

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in the flour and cook for another minute to form a smooth roux.

Add liquids:

Gradually whisk in the milk and heavy cream, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens and becomes smooth.

Season and add cheese:

Add salt, pepper, paprika, and dried herbs. Stir in the shredded cheese and Parmesan until melted and creamy.

Combine everything:

In a large bowl, mix the cooked noodles and chicken. Pour the creamy sauce over and stir until evenly coated.

Assemble the casserole:

Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

 

 

 

 

Add topping:

In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with olive oil or melted butter, then sprinkle over the casserole.

Bake:

Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbling.

Serve:

Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
