Ingredients

For the Loaf Batter:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

¼ teaspoon salt

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

¾ cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup milk or buttermilk

1½ cups fresh or frozen blueberries

For the Cream Cheese Filling:

225 g (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

¼ cup granulated sugar

1 egg yolk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

 

 

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk, until combined. Gently fold in the blueberries.

In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.

Pour half of the loaf batter into the prepared pan. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the batter, then top with the remaining batter.

Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.

Let the loaf cool completely before slicing for the best texture and flavor.
